SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

SciPhiWeb functions as a continuous publication model, aiming for two to four weeks from submission to approval. Submissions are accepted in two categories : Research/Reflections and Reviews

Research/Reflections

  • Research Articles are expected to address issues and present new understanding, reflections and analysis. Preference will be given to the journals primary topics of interest.
  • These Articles are scholarly pieces and must be rigorously supported by citations.
  • Articles should be approximately 2500–5000 words.
  • Article editors will focus on the submission’s structure, analysis, depth, argument, and readability.

Reviews

  • Reviews may be submitted of books, new projects, games, exhibitions and events. Review Articles should be approximately 1000-1200 words long.

Format of Submissions

  • All submissions should be submitted though the Submit Article portal.
  • Any queries must be directed to admin@sciphiweb.com
  • Please ensure that the submission material has not been published previously elsewhere.
  • Please submit your document attached as Microsoft Word document (.doc .docx) and not in any other format:
  • 12 pt. Times New Roman font
  • Double-spaced
  • One-inch margins
  • Please format all references as Microsoft Word endnotes in accordance with the Chicago Manual of Style or MLA. More information, including citation examples, is available here: http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html

  • Images:

  • SciPhiWeb is happy to accommodate authors wishing to provide any one associated image with the article; please attach the preferred image as a JPEG.
  • Intelligence Research
  • If no image is provided, editors will select a suitable image.
  • Editors retain the right not to publish any images deemed inappropriate or otherwise not suitable.
  • Please include the source information and appropriate credits for the image, as SciPhiWeb will not publish images without appropriate credit/sourcing.

  • Author integrity

    By submitting any material for online publication in SciPhiWeb, the author(s) warrant that:

    • They are the sole author(s) of that information, and that all authors have been included.
    • They agree to have their content published online.
    • Author attests the manuscript submitted was not previously published elsewhere and author will attribute the work to SciPhiWebin future distributions.
    • The content does not infringe upon the rights of others and that any material used is properly cited and credited; and that the submitted content does not contain unlawfulor slanderous statements.
    • Publication of the submitted content will not result in any harm or injury to any individuals or entities.
    • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and image manipulation are not tolerated. Reuse of text that is copied from another source must be between quotes and the original source must be cited. If a specific work, idea, concept, or topic is inspired by previous works, these works must be explicitly cited.
    • If plagiarism is detected during the peer review process, the manuscript may be rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, we may publish a correction or retract the paper.
    • SciPhiWebdoes not charge a submission fee.

    Quality control and Peer-Review:

    • We employ a peer review process, in which two individual peer reviewers read submitted articles.
    • The editors may send back comments and edits via Microsoft Word’s track changes feature if needed.
    • All submissions are subject to revision. The journal reserves the right to edit documents for publication.
    • Authors will have the opportunity to review and revise at each stage of the editing process and to approve the final document prior to publication.
